Renewing SSL certificates is what we do, it's literally in our name
An expired SSL certificate is as good as having an SSL certificate not installed at all!
Just because you have purchased an SSL certificate doesn't mean you can now forget about it altogether. All SSL certificates come hard-coded with an expiration date. If you have taken a trial version, that expiration will probably be somewhere between 30 to 90 days. However, even paid SSL certificates come with expiration dates of up to 3 years. As such, it's important to renew SSL certificate regularly if you want to keep your website secure.
If you do not renew SSL certificate in time, Google will remove the padlock from the browser and flash the ‘Not Secure’ message, thus potentially turning users away.
